As a realtor and home owner, I have had nothing but great experiences with Randy Bach and Epic Landscape Design. I was introduced to him by a homeowner whose buyer wanted some modifications to an existing design, and he not only was able to accommodate, but completed the task in record time. His incredible attention to detail was evident from the moment I saw the project. I then engaged him to build a firepit that would match an existing seven-year-old patio. This required coordinating with a plumber for the gas line, and the town for permits. Our plumber was also pleased that nothing was held up in the process because Randy filled every time commitment as promised. Once again, Randy did not disappoint. The firepit looks as if it were put in with the patio, and has been working perfectly, with no signs of wear and tear, through Irene and superstorm Sandy among other weather events and heavy usage. His attention to detail, style ideas, and perfectionist attitude along with always showing up on time, has made Randy a great resource for me to refer to clients, friends, and even wary buyers for my listings who need answers to common issues such as drainage and landscaping possibilities. I am also impressed that Randy is not shy about offering less costly alternatives to ideas, and making them better than what was originally requested. Finally, at the end of the project, Randy leaves everything in tip top shape and there's no cleanup for us to do. I can't say enough about how happy we are with his services! Marie K. Ok, had to get to my iPad because too much to write using the tiny iPhone screen. Marie came with her partner Hope. They both worked with David and I when we were looking for a home so they're both very familiar with this property. They arrived at separate times and starting right from the front courtyard, they were amazed at the transformation. As we walked around the side and then back, their jaws dropped at how perfectly beautiful, natural and perfect evening looked. They raved about your staining color and pattern choice for the concrete pool apron. In fact, Marie didn't think it was concrete and was surprised when I told her that you cleaned and stained it to reflect the color of the travertine patio. She and Hope both thought your color choices were perfect and how well it tied everything together-the travertine, the boulders, the lounge chairs. They were also amazed at how beautiful the beds were, the flower choices, the placement of everything. They loved the waterfalls and were also amazed that you created them freehand and that the boulders and rocks weren't part of a kit that you assembled. In fact, when I told them that other than the large, flat stones, you dug up all the rocks and boulders from the front of our property and created both waterfalls using your own vision of what they should look like. They were amazed at your talent. When they saw the pond and the walkway between the patios and by the guesthouse, they were also incredulous at your artistry, your ability to see what works well, and your ability to visualize the potential of the property and then your capability of bringing your vision into fruition. Marie said she knew you were good and that's why she recommended you to me but she said she had no idea of the immense scope of your abilities. Seeing what you did with our property gave her a whole new perspective of what you're capable of creating. In fact, she asked if she gave David and me tickets to Bermuda, could we please leave and let her and her husband stay in our home while we're gone because it's a perfect resort. Both Marie and Hope were noticing all the details of your work. We walked the property for over 45 min, because they had so many comments. They loved the rock wall you redid and said how beautiful it was and loved the hydrangea, rose, etc. beds you created. They also loved hearing the waterfalls as we sat outside for lunch. They didn't want to leave. They kept using words like "resort, oasis, magnificent, beautiful, natural yet beautifully appointed (vs Disney, cookie cutter look), restfull, ..." Oh, and Marie loved that she could walk in heels on the floating (irregular flagging) stones without getting her heels caught in between because the stones were sealed. She thought that was amazing. They looked at the placement of all the lighting and at the actual fixtures and thought they were elegant and perfect. They both will be coming by to look at the property when it's lit. I told them what you did with the lighting of the architectural triangles on the front facade of the house and they can't wait to see it. Marie said that you should have your own tv show on transforming landscapes and that you should feature our home because it's a total, magical transformation. So before your head swells with all the "oohs and ahhs" and gushing that went on this afternoon, Marie did comment that even with all your immense talent, you are an unassuming, humble guy. I totally agreed! As a result of your incredible work here, Hope will be calling you to talk about her own property in Westfield that needs landscaping. So, I hope you can see why I needed to write all this up on my iPad. And why I said your ears should be on fire. Marie and Hope were so impressed. David and I are thrilled to be living the dream!
